of Northern NSW) who took them straight
to their most sacred mountain Wollumbin.
This is where the first rays of the sun greet the
continent of Australia each dawn, a mountain
made famous by Captain Cook who named it
Mount Warning. A s the group of elders from
this land and those from the other side of the
world wa lked together up the mountain to sit
in ceremony as one, they were greeted by a
beautiful big python, a welcome from the spirit
of the land and an acknowledgment.
Following ceremony at Wollumbin,
the Kogi attended the Uplift Festiva l over
the weekend sha ring their message with all
present, a call to the children of the earth
to return to living in sacred balance. These
deeply wise yet simple people, who would far
rather be in their remote mountain villages
doing ceremony to enha nce the beauty and
energy of their patch of our planet, first came
to the world’s notice in 1990 when Alan
Ereira made a film for the BBC called The
Heart of the World: Elder Brother’s Warning.
You can watch it in full and for free here:

to do so.
We of the modern Western world
are little brother, playing with toys while
neither understanding nor caring for the
consequences. We are gathering wealth and
gobbling up resources, showing a lack of
global maturity, like a bat colony destroying
a forest, except there are no more forests to
“ We are now living outside of the laws of
nature where nature is now turning against man
and becoming the enemy.” ~ The Kogi Mamas
The Kogi Mamas and other indigenous
cultures who have remembered their roots
a nd teachings are big brother. Despite the
Kogi’s plea in 1990, nothing has cha nged.
In fact, the ava lanche of global destruction
has become much worse, a s the number of
middle class consumers across the world has
Over recent years, the Kogi have began
to garner support in their homeland and
appealed to politicians. Now they have
called on Alan Ereira once more to make a
new film to share the importance of their
message. The film is Aluna named after the
Kogi word for the vital force of Earth from
which all life springs. You can download it for
a nominal fee from iTunes via: http://www.

film and spread it widely.
The Kogi, and our common sense, tell
us, if we have the courage to look, that it
is already too late to restore balance. Too
much destruction has already occurred (the
massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico a nd
the devastating Fukushima nuclear disaster
simply top the list) and there is much more
yet to come as the forces of nature swing
back in an attempt to find balance.
While it may be too late to avoid disaster,
it is never too late to reduce the level of the
disaster. That is the reason the Kogi are
travelling the world urging little brother to
wake up to the Earth as a living being and
the Earth as our source of life, our mother.
Slowly but surely some of us are.
The Kogi ask each individual to make
a pledge, from the centre of their heart, to
be a vehicle for the restoration of natural
balance on Earth. In the film Aluna you
will witness the Kogi read a detailed,
yet profoundly simple statement, to the
UN from their own spiritual heartland.
In essence the Kogi are calling for a
“Unification Process for Awareness of Original
Principles in Collective Consciousness
The Universal Unification Process is
intended by the Great Mother to lead us
to the original principles by guiding us to
the realisation of self at the individual and
collective levels, allowing us to awaken to
higher dimensions of awareness and thus clearly
see the consequences, subtle effects and impacts

t the Uplift Festiva l in Byron

with an eclectic mix of Western
spiritual teachers were three
men in hand woven white tunics from
the remote Sierra Nevada mountains in
Colombia, South America.
These men were Kogi elders known as
the Kogi Mamas, who had left their high
altitude villages and meditation huts to
ma ke a round the world trip praying for
the restoration of bala nce and harmony
within the natural forces of the earth. It was
a mission shown to them in visions direct
from the soul of the Earth.
The last place they had visited was Uluru

Elder Uncle Bob Randall and his wife Barbara
met them and took them to their sacred
places to perform ceremony for all of us,
with the intention of limiting the damage
being done to the earth. They then all flew
