on nature arising from our human behaviour,
which are creating the great imbalances we are
witnessing in all aspects of life.”
And the pledge the Kogi are calling you
to make is:
“We recognise the effects we have brought
upon mother earth and her natural order.
We recognise a nd take responsibility for the
imbalance in all dimensions of life.
We call upon humanity for the unification
and restoration of mother earth.
We invite every individual to make a
commitment to the following statement:”
“I commit to the restoration of mother earth”
I urge you to take a sacred moment, to
do this in reverence in your garden at home
or by a tree importa nt to you or a sacred
place near your home. Feel into your hea rt,
connect deeply with the spirit of the Earth
and usher forth the pledge with the deepest
feeling you can muster.
Then see what change ushers forth in
your life. A nd really wa lk it; stop supporting
compa nies that destroy the earth, get stronger
with your recycling and demand more
support for it from your local government
authority, no longer use ha rmful products,
begin to kindly educate others, support
your local indigenous elders, join ecological
groups, support those political parties or
independents who are true warriors for the
Earth and human rights and decency, and
continually pray with both feet a nd ever y
fibre of your heart.
I also ask you to register your pledge on
the Uplift website:
Your pledge will be added to groups
right around the world collecting na mes of
people who have made the decla ration and
will be presented to the United Nations.
Politicia ns do heed the weight of numbers in
deciding policy so it does work a nd is worth
it. Of course it’s not enough – you too must
empower yourself to act.
