are told we should, we are effectively

When choosing an education for our
kids we need to ask ourselves whether
we are constructively, truly contributing
to their "Dreaming", or blindly feeding
the ever-hungry mouth of political,
economic and social paradigms. If we
are, does it tessellate with your child's
needs or even your own? Does it fertilise
individual desires; indicators which
translate to the capacity to manifest their
own special brand of living? Most of us
are still afraid to rock the status quo,
be labelled as the interfering mother or
belligerent father, fearful that our kids
might fall through the gaps, miss out
or suffer, perpetuating the myth that
we are slaves to a reality that has nothing
to do with us.

Parenting, although evolving, is still

have not been able to shake loose from

of parenting. Practices concerned mainly
with rules, timetables, goals and rigid
structures; systems that grow human
"doings" rather than a human "beings".

A child's dream, his desire, her
fantasy and play are just another voice
-- intangible ideas that must be aired,
tried, spoken and given permission
to breathe. No amount of adherence
to outside structures or inventions
can replace the gift of imagination.
Apparently insignificant musings, ideas
and inspirations are the scaffolding
that supports the growth of taller
talents in each individual on their walk
through life. It's what constructs a solid
sense of personal security and faith,
making us all less v ulnerable to the
effects of the external and more capable
