"How to Meditate
a Zen Monk...
If you'd like to meditate as deeply (actually
more deeply) than a Zen monk, literally at
the touch of a button, this may be one of the
most important messages you will ever read.
Here is why...
Based in part on Nobel Prize-winning
research on how "complex systems" (human
beings, for instance) evolve to higher levels
of functioning, a mental improvement
program has been created utilising a powerful
audio technology called Holosync®.
A precise combination of audio signals gives
the brain a very specific stimulus that creates
states of deep meditation --- and causes the
creation of new mind-enhancing neural
connections between left and right brain
Here's what other Australians are
saying about Holosync® ...
"I've had a massive decrease in my stress
level. I sit for 1½ hours in peak hour traffic
and arrive at work cheerful and unfazed."
- Janet Prentice, Sydney, NSW
"I sleep beautifully, concentrate with ease,
people have commented on how confident
and well I look." - Gregory O'Keeffe, Qld
"I am now happy and content. I am awake
and alert at 6.00am after a wonderful sleep
and have lots of energy."
- Anna Van Raay, Burwood, Vic
"I am more centred and happy. My brain
feels like it has been switched on."
- Doris Ruiner, Gleniffer, NSW
"I am sleeping better and best of all, my
health is now gradually improving."
- Margaret Farrar, Qld

"Iwant to have an event where people
from all kinds of backgrounds -- not
just the already committed --get
to meet each other," says Leigh-Chantelle
Koch, naturopath, singer/poet, vegan and
environmental activist, of her plans for
Brisbane's inaugural Green Earth Festival on
Saturday March 13.
The wide-ranging festival has a family
friendly emphasis and includes everything
from all kinds of stalls, speakers, live music
and entertainment and a kids' zone to a
short film and art competition, vegan
cooking demonstrations and even a Green
With Envy fashion event (look for the bridal/
"It's aimed at showing people of all
ages that simple changes in their everyday
lives can help improve their environment
and their health," says Koch. "They can have
fun doing so, and it's getting easier to make
"For instance, there are so many
alternatives available now -- like soy icecream
which I love! -- for people who want to
become vegetarian or vegan. And although
there is a lot of green wash going on, there
are lots of genuine people who can help
those who want to live more environmentally
friendly, sustainable lives but don't know
where to start."
Being held in Brisbane's gorgeously
subtropical City Botanic Gardens, the festival
is being organised by the fledgling, not for
profit Green Earth Group, which began
only last year after Koch and a few friends
saw a need for a group that could unite the
energies of environmental and animal rights
"I'd stopped eating red meat in my mid
teens," says Koch, now 30. "I then gave up
chicken and fish, and 12 years ago became
vegan for both health and ethical reasons. I
then became more aware of environmental
issues, especially those linked to food
One thing that sets the Green Earth
Festival apart is its insistence that all
products (whether food or not) displayed,
promoted and sold must be vegan and
certified cruelty-free by the Choose Cruelty
Free Australia organisation. As someone
who has seen the difficulties involved in
simply getting stallholders at community
events to use recyclable containers, I can
only imagine the complaints this very
specific clause has attracted!
"We've had people contacting us and
arguing that they should be able to sell their
products because, although they are not
vegan, they are green," says Koch. "They just
don't seem to understand that we're not like
"Luckily I have friends who have been
involved with large music festivals like the
Big Day Out who have provided advice,"
says Koch, "but there's so much red tape, let
alone finding the money to pay for public
liability and a million other things. We'll
hopefully be covering our costs through
charging for stalls and attracting sponsorship
-- but it's a big learning experience!"
