What once seemed like a utopian dream has now transpired in
to reality -- the 2012 solstice will be a period of celebration and
healing all around the planet.
On Friday December 21, 2012,
the Planetary Healing Artists
Association of Australia Inc
(PHAAA) is organising a Global
Healing Day event as a free interfaith, multi-
cultural, environmental community event.
Its aim is to connect people from all faiths,
beliefs and backgrounds, with a common
love for the earth and a common desire for
its healing at this significant time.
The symbolism of this interfaith event is
deliberate. A celebrity Christian priest (Father
Bob), Aboriginal elders, Hindus, Buddhists,
Inter Faith and New Agers will all participate
with their own talks, ceremonies and healing
workshops. We can celebrate our differences
and revel in the multiplied wisdom.
Perhaps there has never been a time
in history that opened the door for such
harmony -- PHAAA is one of countless healing
organisers around the world that will also
be marking this date with global healing.
It is hoped that this harmony will translate
to a more peaceful world. In Washington
DC in 1993 there was a major reduction in
crime when a Transcendental Meditation
program study took place. Spiritual and
mental wellbeing reportedly improved while
there was a decline in serious crimes such
as homicides, rapes and assaults.
All religions, philosophies and wisdom
have somehow come together for us to
achieve unity; to co-exist in better ways
honouring all humanity's wisdom.
Why are artists organising this event?
Because PHAAA felt that creativity is the
way to bring solutions to the issues we face
today. The world has experienced a famine
in recent years, not of currency, food or
commodities, but of creative thinking. New
ideas are the hallmark of the new world that
is to be ushered in.
PHAAA promotes this kind of creativity
through art exhibitions. These aim to bring
awareness to environmental issues, and
local artists are thus given voice to creatively
express their concerns and their ideas for
solving these concerns.
We invite all people (of all or no faiths)
who cannot attend physically to spiritually
attune with healing intentions for the planet
from 10.13pm to 10.20pm (ESST) for this
global meditation for the planet and humanity.
The Planetary Healing Artists has previous
experience of organising two exhibitions
and one play with environmental themes
presenting our optimistic vision for the
future of the planet. These events were
included in the St Kilda festival program with
Port Phillip in 2011 and 2012. Our upcoming
art exhibition 'Healing the Bay' will be held
at Gasworks Arts Park, Albert Park, February
5 - 24, 2013.
Healing the Bay is organised by locals for
our local community and is a free event.
If you are aligned to this vision of what
is possible and have particular gifts and
skills please contact us. There are many
opportunities for volunteers as part of the
team to make this event a memorable one. ●
